  • We lived here for 2 1/2 years. We thought it would be great to get a house and rented one for one year. We moved back because we missed it so much here :the location is prime, in the country close to I 10 and 1604, and management is quick to respond whenever necessary and very kind. We love the amenities, the hiking trail, the pool ,the clubhouse ,the coffee house , the grounds, the grill and outdoor fireplace. They are dog friendly. We will stay until we leave San Antonio. We are so happy to be back.

  • Lived at the Retreat for over 3 years, and not a complaint to be had. The staff was always attentive and helpful, and events put on for the residents. Great community and would live there again hands down!

The apartments and pool are great. The walls are so thin being on the second floor was why I moved out. I could hear everything and would never get any sleep. Biggest negative issue is the move out fees. I paid over 200 dollars for nothing just to get out of that place. My apartment was spotless and I cleaned for hours. I even asked for touch up paint to paint where my pictures had been. One of the managers took pictures of things in the apartment they were charging for, but you couldn't even see anything in the pictures. She tried to argue that you couldn't see in the light on her iphone. It was the most ridiculous situation I have ever had at an apartment. I would have recommended this apartment complex to anyone before move out (if you lived on the top floor to avoid noise), but I wouldn't recommend to anyone. Also forgot to mention my 60 year old handicapped mom drove 7 hours to visit me with her little dog. They told me I had to pay a huge pet deposit for the few days my mom was visiting or she had to leave. She was there less than 48 hours after driving seven hours and was so upset that they were watching and making me pay she left. She never came back to visit because of their rules.
